hi.. i had 512mb RAm and i bought a 1G RAM today(umax ddr1)and i checked it in shop.. but when i came home and started my pc it didnt work.. message were this...

keyboard not detected
USB not detected
you camputer will shut down in 15 seconds)) please help me is my pc,s MB is break downed or ... please send your help in my Email Please PLease.... because i can not find here again... thank all

Putting "Dont know" for your motherboard isn't very helpful. The site has an online scanner that can identify your hardware for you.

It's very possible that the RAM you bought isn't compatible with your board. You should always check before you buy. It's also possible that you knocked something loose while fumbling around inside the case & that's why you're getting the error messages.

ok...Thank you mr jam..
My motherboard is intel p5 full cash..
and i bought it 2 years ago...
i checked it in shop and it was ok and showed 1.4G with my old 512MB RAm.

Still need to know the model number.

If the system worked with the new RAM "in the shop", something may have come lose in transport to your house. Open the case, check all the connections & make sure the RAM & all cards are fully seated in their slots. Then disconnect all external devices except for the monitor & keyboard. If the keyboard is USB, switch over to PS/2...either use an adapter or a different keyboard. Attempt to boot & see if you can access the BIOS.
