Comment:

Are all notebooks equipped with Centrino? If not, what is the difference between Intel Core 2 Duo and Centrino Core 2 Duo?

I was checking the specs for this notebook and it said Intel Core 2 Duo but at the bottom it said "centrino technology" ... I have heard that centrinos are less faster.. what are the major differences?

Centrino is NOT the name of a CPU at all. It's the name given to a specific hardware package.

"three processors are available in the Centrino lineup, Intel's Duo Core, Solo Core and older Pentium M"

As jam said, Centrino is not the name of the CPU but the name of a hardware package.

A Centrino and non Centrino Laptop can have the exact same processor, but the non Centrino laptop might not have some wireless networking features that the other has.
