Why make a 3 core cpu when quads are allready out there. Seems like a pointless prodect to me.

To help fill in the gap between the enthusiast market and high-mainstream market. Dual core's are being pushed down to the mainstream-budget market now, considering that single core's are getting phased out by the middle to end of next year. I think it’s pretty smart move myself.
