Specs: Windows 10, FX 8320/8GB
So, I'm going to be purchasing the 212 EVO to replace the stock fan that came with my processor. It works relatively well, the one exception being that it is extremely loud. My main concern about installing the 212 is that you have to remove your motherboard to gain access to the back of it. To do that, I have to remove pretty much every thing. I've never really done anything like that, I don't want to break something. So my question is, what are some things I need to know before I mess with my computer. Anything I need to know, anything I need to get beforehand, any tips?

If you don't wanna rip your system apart, simply choose a CPU cooler that doesn't require you to do so. How about the Cooler Master Hyper T4? It uses the existing AMD mounting bracket. So does the TX3.

Here's a side by side comparison of the 212 vs T4:

And if you can buy from Newegg, the T4 is on sale for just $15 after rebate.

The TX3 is $23:

EDIT: check your case. Can you remove both side panels? If you can, remove the panel closest to the underside of the board - there might be an opening in the board mounting plate that you can work thru.

Also, I noticed the older version of the EVO 212 is also on sale - $20 after rebate:
