Installing a new BIOS chip

i flashed the wrong bios the other day and i ordered a new bios chip from ASUS (i have the a7n8x-dx) so i was wondering if there are any special rules when putting it in for the first time. can i just pop it in and expect everything to be normal again?
The main things to look out for are: The IC legs will probably not be vertical (as the previous post has suggested) so check the alingment. Be careful about static discharge_ don't touch the pins directly if you can (hold it by the "body" of the chip ie two fingers- one at each end) Ground yourself (not in the Zen sense..) if you can ie hold onto the PC case or a good GND point. Beware of polyester carpets and dry heat. The only other thing you should be aware of is to make sure that you have it the right way around. There will be a notch/ indent or dot on the chip, and the socket will have some marker (usually a notch at the top) that will match. If the pins are not straight, then follow this routine: Hold the chip with two fingers at each end (of the body - not the pins). Lay it on its side on a flat surface (so that all pins are on the surface)and gently bend it so that all the pins straighten out. Do this for both sides until the pins are straight both sides. This will be a trial and error exercise so be patient. Other than that it's easy!! regards, Elric
