Yes on differnet partions/hard drives. XP Home will probably overwrite the XP Pro system files, therefore you will need to repair the boot files, this is undertaken from the omand Prompt Repair Option when one boots from the XP CD.

Though why you would want to install HOME is beyond me as it is virtually the same except for Networking features etcetc.

Well, I only got the Windows XP Home CD with me :( Can you please explain to me how can I install the Operating System? I got another Hard Drive.

I got Windows XP Professional Installed on C:/ Drive. I want to install Windows XP Home on D:/ drive.

There are many files saved on the D Drive & I need them, If I install Windows XP Home on D drive, will i loose all the data in it?

Thnx in advance

Boot with your XP Home cd... you will be asked in which drive/partition you wish to install it... Be careful and pay attention ... and check your empty drive...
After that,... will be a normal windows installation.

Or you can do it the old fashion way and disconnect one drive from the ide cable and use the drive you want to install the other xp on.

Hehe that's how we had to do it back in the day.
