I have an AMD K6-2 500 w/512 L2 cache on a Gigabyte 5a-faa mobo. The system bus speed is 66mhz. The manual says it supports 66,85?,and 100mhz. How do I bump this sucker up? Is it just a matter of changing jumper settings?

yeah changing the jumper settings should do it - I have a K6-2 500Mhz on a 100Mhz bus, set by DIP switches. Make sure you have memory that supports a 100Mhz FSB however. HTH Alex

of course ! if your system supports 100mhz FSB go for it. the hightest speed you can get however is 6 (wich is 2) X 100 = 600mhz but I'll suggest you to begin from 5x * 100=500mhz then 5.5x * 100=550mhz.
