Hi
I just get a new board IC7-Max3 ABIT for using with my P4 3.0c. I overclock to get it up 3.5Ghz. It mormally run at 51C degree. Is it too hot? Do I need a better cooling system? Any best cooling system recommended? (I do not really the idea of water cooling).

Thank you so much

That's pretty much normal temp you are getting. Unless ......

You get a P4P800 Deluxe, I will guarantee your CPU would run 12C lower. But, motherboard temps never accurate; example of what I have:

1) IC7 2.4C to 3.24 load temp 62C
2) IS7 2.4C to 3.06 load temp 52C
3) IC7 2.6C to 3.38 load temp 54C
4) MSI 2.0A to 3.00 load temp 55C
5) P4P800 2.4 to 3.20 load temp 41C
All using Stock Intel HSF.

The IC7 board in system (1) reports higher temp no matter which procesor I put in.
The P4P800 reports such a low temp is unreal. And, it will report low temp no matter which processor I put in.

Hey, want to buy my P4P800 deluxe? Cheaper than water cool, and cooler than water cooling.
