Comment: If anybody can help????? I have a big big problem with TP 600 power-on password. I change power-on password and new password not work!!!!!!!! Old password not work too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then my friend recommend :-( me to remove the back-up battery from motherboard . Now I can't accses "easy setup" by pressing F1 on start and can't clear the power-on password using password pads (about this pads I to know later:-( ). Short-circuiting the password clearing pads not working!!!!!!! Help me!!!!!! Is the any back door or other possibility remove the password on IBM TP 600 (exl. removing motherboar)??????????! Many thanks for any information. P.S. Don't remove the back-up battery on TP 600!!!!!! Better use password pads. It's easy while batery not be removed!

Reply: (edit)Check your Motherboard/PC Manual manual, if you can. There should be a jumper on the motherboard which will reset the BIOS to its original factory condition.

Reply: (edit)I have been there with a 755CD. Unfortunately, you have someone quakified to take your t-pad apart and change a chip, or something. Worst case, you have to take it to IBM for this, at the highest cost. Good luck
