You're not gonna get a hell of a lot out of it, but it won't hurt to try. Do you know how to recover if you take it too far & your system refuses to boot up again?

Overclocking the video card is easy...simply download ATiTool (read the documentation):

http://www.techpowerup.com/atitool/

Overclocking your system is a bit more tricky. If you have no way to lock your PCI/AGP clocks at 33/66MHz, the best you'll be able to do "safely" will be 150MHz FSB. That would put your CPU speed at 1125MHz...not a substantial difference over stock. Chances are, you won't hit that speed anyway. Make sure to disable any Spread Spectrum settings & set your CPU:DRAM ratio to 1:1, then begin raising your FSB 5MHz at a time....save your changes, reboot, then test the system for stability. If all is well, add another 5MHz & try again. If the system becomes unstable, increase the CPU voltage by 0.025v (if possible) & see if that helps...if it doesn't, try another 0.025v. The Athlon can be run safely up to 1.85v...beyond that is getting risky. Always monitor your CPU temp. If you don't have CPU voltage adjustment available, back off to the last stable setting...you're done.

Check for stability & CPU temps by running TOAST for 30 min...if it survives without locking up, move on to Prime95 (or Stress Prime 2004) & let it run for several hours. If the temps are reasonable & the system doesn't lock up, you *should* be OK.

Oh brother, here's another one. Did you do any reading on what you are planning? I predict a new computer in your future.....

Go to DFI-Street and do some reading. The Street is the tech site for DFI mobos, but you will learn just how tedious it can be to overclock a computer.

There are many things to take into consideration. The most important thing is to monitor temperatures constantly. The more voltage and the higher the clock speeds, the higher the heat!
