Name: indigian
My machine runs very happily at 200x11.
I want to try and up the fsb.
I'm going to drop the multi down to 10 or 9 and then raise the fsb slowly. What I'm more concerned? with is my ram.
Once I start upping the fsb my ram will also start to be OC'ed?(pc3200)
I want to know which component(ram or cpu) will complain first? If I run memtest does it test the ram at the bios settings or the stock ram settings?
i.e
If I set the fsb to 204 would the ram be tested at 408mhz?

Your PC3200 should handle at least 210mhz. Your best bet would be to temporarily set your multiplier fairly low (say 8x), so that when you raise the FSB, you're not overstressing the CPU. Then raise the FSB slowly & test between changes...this way you can determine your max stable FSB setting. Your RAM may benefit from a 0.1v increase...if the default is 2.6v, raise it to 2.7v. Once you've deteremined the max FSB, then you can experiment with the multiplier

Cheers Jam
My pc3200 is Twinmos with hynix chips(I think)
Do I test with memtest?

I'd use Prime95 for at least a single pass...once you've decided on your "final" settings, let it run for a while. There are plenty of free test programs available here:
http://www.benchmarkhq.ru/english.html?/be_cpu.html

Prime ran for 7hrs with no problems or errors
withFSB-210
Multi-8The boot screen say's it is 418mhz
cpu-z says it is 210.5mhz @ 421mhz
Tried a few cpu programs and they all differ slightly.Cover me

Didn't like a multi of 10
Raised vcore to 1.775,prime locks the system.I tried 218x8,prime failed but gave errors the system still ran though.
So I thought I was near the limit and went back to 214.How high a vcore can the mobile stand?
I've read somewhere that there has been problems with the 10 & 10.5 multi's?
Also that I may need a modded bios?
tictac turbo4x4?Any links to these modded bios's?

Anyone reading this thread?
Anyway's
Went back to 200x11 and have started upping the fsb from there.
204x11 is primed for 8hrs with a vcore of 1.575.
Let's see how high we can go.

History:-
http://www.computing.net/cpus/wwwboard/forum/10490.htmlI'm at 210x11 at the moment,Primed for 1hr20mins.
Vcore is at 1.6v and temp is very acceptable.
When I try 214x11 windows runs and loads ok but when I try to run prime95 it locks the system.
Is this a ram issue(cheap twinmos with hynix chips)?
Or more of a cpu thing?
