I NEED to overclock my 200 w/ MMX

I need someone to help me out with overclocking my P54C motherboard ive tried a million and one jumbers and i still cant do this. Also i have a 300 K6-2 i want to put in it but it wont clock in at anything more than 180 Mhz, i need it at 300.

p54c is the official id for Classic Intel Pentium's. If the board won't clock at over 180MHz, then thats it. The AMD is a dual voltage CPU and the classic pentium is a single voltage CPU.


How about going on ebay and finding a super socket 7 motherboard? Then you could put your k6 2 300.

Another thing, the intel pentium MMX is a dual voltage CPU

although the K6 2/300 will plug into the socket 7 mount , it'll fry if you can't set the core voltage down to 2.2 volts. Get a super socket seven board that will supply the voltage control needed by the CPU.
