No.. You can do one of two options.

You can d/l 3DMark 2003 -- works with DX9

Or you can d/l DX9 Uninstaller here

http://www.3dcht4u.de/3dc/p24d5fe/directx-dx9uninstaller.zip

this will restore you to 8.1 or whatever you had before !
Good Luck.

Go here and download the patch, version 330, and 3dmark 2001 should work just fine under dx9, it works on mine. Also, do not use the dx9 uninstaller, being that it is a crappy program, it will not do what it says it will and will probably mess up your comp. I've tried, there is no way to uninstall direct x 9, and no reason to do it either, it is fully backwards compatible.

Psygnosis, you f---ing fag, don't insult people, just say they are mistaken. I've tried 4 different dx9 uninstallers before and none of them worked, I figured this would again be the case. In fact, I've tried that one before and it didn't work for me. You are a liar and a moron.

i have only one thing to say all you have to do back up your important files and format your PC forget those directx uninstallers they sucks! and i hate them. the uninstaller will say that you remove your version of directx9 but it keeps some files in your folders and it hards to detect them! if i where you format your pc so you wont screw up your pc!! because you will erase all the files! hey! atleast you'll erase that dumb, worthless, directx9 that brought nothing but trouble in running games specially in windows Xp and 2000

PS.make sure you knw how to format your pc contact your technician if you must this is a complicated work but you'll you get rid of that pesky! directx9 but its 100% guarranty!
