Overclocking should be done thru the BIOS, not thru software. And when you overclock an AMD system, there are a few things you need to be aware of. The most important is that when you raise the CPU frequency, it automatically raises the other associated frequencies (RAM, HyperTransport, PCIe, PCI, etc)...you need to lower them so that when you overclock the CPU, the associated freqs come back up to roughly their default speeds.

So what you need to do is:

- lower the RAM speed to DDR2-667 (I assume you have DDR2-800?)
- lower the HT to 4x (or 800MHz)
- lock the PCIe at 100MHz
- disable Cool 'n' Quiet
- disable ALL Spread Spectrum settings

Then you can begin raising the CPU freq. Try to get it up to 250MHz
