Specs: Windows XP
my biggest question is. if i keep this processor whats a better board than my FICam37 (salsa)? or would i be better off just saving for a new mobo/cpu combo?

Do you have an HP system? The "Salsa" is an HP board. That would explain the lack of BIOS options. You're dealing with technology that's over 10 yrs old.

There's little point in investing any money in this system or using that old CPU for another build. What do you hope to accomplish?

That thing is worth about 25 bucks if everything works. Save your money for something newer and give it to someone who can't afford a pc later.

You don't need to break the bank to come up with a much better machine either...here's an example of what's out there.

its a compaq/hp i just want to mostly surf the web, play minecraft (i have never played it lol) My biggest problem now is i had 512mb of ram but one of my sticks gave up the ghost. So now i just got 256mb which 32mb are used for my integrated savagepro graphics (which are crappy) despite knowing its old and pointless to upgrade i recently bought 2gb of ram so that ought to get me back to where i was speed wise. any suggestions on a motherboard/cpu. i was gonna looking at a gigabyte board with a 1155 socket.. i just dont have alot off money to build my own pc right now
