There are two 3000+ CPU's...one runs at 2167mhz (13 x 166mhz/333DDR FSB), & one runs at 2100mhz (10.5 x 200mhz/400DDR FSB). Both run at 1.65v.

There has to be a way to change the FSB...read your motherboard manual

It would help if you told us what make/model board you have. I find it hard to believe that there's no way to change your settings. I know some boards are "autodetect only", but the vast majority are not.

Look here and download the manual for your system. just look for "KuDoz 7".

http://www.scanware-web.dk/download/manuals/

Then go to page 11 (on the manual, not the file) and you will find the "Overclocking Jumper Setting (JFSB)" section. Read the next few pages. But basically, you take the pin off and your fsb is 133=266Mhz. You leave it on and you have 100Mhz. It goes on to mention the multiplier as well.

Have fun. And you know what, it wasn't that hard to find the info. I just typed into google your m.b., looked at 2-3 sites, found the manual, and scrolled down. Good luck, have fun.

Well maybe the jumper that's not mentioned in the manual, as you stated, is the jumper responsible for the FSB as I just referred to you. And maybe it's not. How do you know? It sounds like you don't. So instead of being a little cry baby and being whiny and demanding, maybe you should just appreciate that other fellow human beings have taken the time to go and look up your motherboard manual and take time from their life to try to help you, whether they were successful or not. And as a way of respecting that maybe you should see what that jumper is...Just maybe it is the FSB Jumper. At this point that sounds like the most logical thing to me.

If you go to the site, open the pdf file, look on page 15/69 of the file, there is a map of the motherboard, if this looks like yours you can verify if it is the same jumper. If it doesn't look exactly like your motherboard, then you can see if the letters jfsb are written near it on your board, even if not, you can still try to find out if it is. But I'm thinking it is because there is only one manual for your board.

If it's not, oh well. But don't act like anyone owes you anything. Cause no one does.
Good luck, I'm pretty sure, and I hope for you that it is. If it is though, you should know it apparently only goes 100 or 133 so you're not going to get the maximum. But it should do wonders at any rate.

Some other things you might want to try would be a software o.c. and maybe even an oc bios flash update if there is one for your board that will change the 100/133 setting higher. But I think your best bet might be to change the setting on the board (if you can) and then do a software o.c.
Good luck. Have fun. Enjoy.

Sorry if i got a little carried away...i was upset about something else...
If you didn't pay too much for the board maybe just think about getting a new board. Cause if you have a 3000+ that's pretty sweet and if i was you i'd wanna milk it for all it's got by getting a fresh motherboard.
Good luck.

the first thing would be to run a program called CPU-Z. It will identify specific attributes of your sysem, including the cpu and motherboard. It's a neat and handy little program to have. There will be a box on the first page of the info output that will state the family and model number of the cpu. That will tell you exactly which one you have. One model number will refer to one version, and so on. I don't know the correspondin numbers for that cpu, but a little looking on the amd site might help you figure it out, or by asking people here on this forum who know a lot more, like Jam.

you can find CPU-Z, or CPUID, at www.CPUID.com

also cpucool (and the componental program cpufsb) is a good program for doing software oc (http://www.podien.de/). but i think it's much better to first get it running optimally by atleast fixing the fsb (on the board) to what it should be.
Good luck, let us know how it turns out.
