Comment:

I followed a December questions on upgrading HP model XG843 socket 370 CPUs. The conversation recommended useing a FCPGA to FCPGA 2 adapter for Tulation CPU. So I bought the FCPGA to FCPGA 2 Tulation adaptor and Tulation 1.2 GHz CPU, set the adapter jumpers as described on the box for mainboard with intel chipset. Stuck it in and nothing happens, put old back and all still works fine. Are the jumpers on the motherboard to change or mabe BIOS? I don't have a HP manual. I've spent the money now what? How did the guys back in December do it "repo man" and "GX1 Man" and "Josh C." are who I'm refering to. How do I contact them or anyone who can help? Please anybody!!! This is for my 11 year old son who lives on the computer and can't afford anything else. Thank You all who will reply some direction to where to turn on this matter. crunch

hey this is JC under a differant screen name. you need to ensure that the stuff is properly seated of course. beyond that i highly recommend a BIOS update (hp.com) and you mention jumpers there should not be any jumpers to adjust on the motherboard. are there jumpers on the adapter or what?
