does anyone know how to unlock amd athlon xp 1800+? i really want to know how to i can overclock my cpu to higher speed. thanks can i use pencil to do it or have to use some kind of super glue to link the bridge?

U have to use some type of silicon gel (thermal paste) to unlock it i believe. Some websites even sell unlocking kits to do this.

What kind of motherboard do you have and is that a palamino 1800 or a tbred 1800? Some boards, like the new nforce2 boards, can unlock some of the multipliers on tbred CPU's without modification. With the beta EPoX BIOS, my XP1700+ tbred has a bunch of multipliers available(5x-15x?), and FSB settings up to 211 MHz! No unlocking necessary!
