I have Matsonic MS8308EP(266) mother(f---er)board and AMD Duron 1300 MHz and when i connect L1 bridges, cpu won't unlock. I am 101,99% sure that i connected bridges (tryed to reconnect them about 20 times just to make sure) but in BIOS i have options to change FSB & Multiplier but i can't change it (it's grayed). I read a few reviews of this board and most of reviewers wrote that you can in bios change multiplier and fsb "with ease" -- yeah right... >:(

Chances are you won't go far. You'll likely have to do it by bumping the fsb 1Mhz at a time. 105Mhz is about the limit for mine and although I see a difference between 100 and 101Mhz fsb, I don't see much more at 104.

I have this program CPUCool and i have FSB 107 MHz stable in windows. 107 x 13 = 1391 MHz. I was playing UT about 2hrs and after that GTA Vice City about 4hrs and after i put cpu to torture test (300 tests). Everything was so great BUT this program has one problem it NEVER lets you restart your computer! But i think i found out how to change multipliers! When i looked very closely to my cpu i saw 5 L1 Bridges, any other duron on ineternet had 4. Then i was looking something similar to this and i found out that my duron has all bridges same as AMD XP. There is this great site www.ocinside.de where you click at Workshop and then at the top you select the guide: "Interactive XP painting guide - AMD XP cpu overclocking via bridges!" and you see a cpu that look exactly the same as my duron. With this kind of help i've raised my Vcore from 1.750 to 1.850! Maybe this is what solves our problem!

The most stable FSB at Windows 98 SE is 108MHz. 109MHz is good for about 5 min, then crash, 110MHz is good for about 15 sec - crash, 111+MHz not good - crash... so if I could raise multiplier from 13x to 14x this would give me (14 x 108) 1512 MHz... Nice. Gotta try this out... Does anyone know how to overclock SiS 730 chipset?
