Reply: (edit)What setting options do you have available to you? Can you raise the FSB in increments? or are there only choices such as 66/75/83/100? Raising the multiplier from 4.5x to 5.0x may allow you to run your CPU at 500mhz, but the difference won't be noticeable. If 112 FSB is an option, you can give that a try, but I'd lower the mutiplier to 4.0x (448mhz) at 1st to see if it will boot & run...if it works, then try the multiplier at 4.5x (504mhz). I ususally save the Vcore as a last resort. If it won't run at the overclock setting, you can try raising the voltage by a tenth...2 tenths at the most. So if your stock voltage is 2.2v & your system won't run when clocked at 500, try the voltage at 2.3v...then try 2.4v...if it doesn't run with any of these changes, just set it back to 450mhz (4.5 x 100) with 2.2v & let it be.... Good luck.

Reply: (edit)Personally, I wouldn't bother overclocking with that chipset. Many old PC Chips M5XX boards use that ali alladin chipset, it's a bit like the TX Pro 2 that many early socket 7 boards had and they are hard to get to run at stock speeds, let alone overclocked. I doubt you'll have the option of choosing an FSB higher than 100 MHz. Some boards would only run on a 87 MHz FSB properly.
