Comment: Can anyone tell me how to overclock athlon xp 2000 on a asus a7v333 mb. when I increase anything in the bios, the system's voice tells me that cpu is overclocked and will not start. currently it's running at 1667 mhz.

Reply: (edit)I don't trust overclocking with XP especially when you have a XP with high clock rate. i.e 1600+ like yours. The matter of the fact is, it is already overclocked and running under high temperature. That may be the reason.

Reply: (edit)You might want to see what the BIOS version your MB is! I flashed my BIOS not long ago to 1014 from 1006 and I found the same problem, I had the little women in the MB turned off at the time but everytime I tryed to overclock she would not like it at all. I just restored my old BIOS and went from there. In any case I would not really worry about overclocking it but thats just me, mine is back to standard because I just didn't see any difference (and due to temps).
