OS: Windows xp pro
CPU/Ram: Athlon XP 2000 and 512 DD

Can anyone tell me how to overclock athlon xp 2000 on a asus a7v333 mb. when I increase anything in the bios, the system's voice tells me that cpu is overclocked and will not start. currently it's running at 1667 mhz.

I don't trust overclocking with XP especially when you have a XP with high clock rate. i.e 1600+ like yours. The matter of the fact is, it is already overclocked and running under high temperature. That may be the reason.

You might want to see what the BIOS version your MB is! I flashed my BIOS not long ago to 1014 from 1006 and I found the same problem, I had the little women in the MB turned off at the time but everytime I tryed to overclock she would not like it at all. I just restored my old BIOS and went from there. In any case I would not really worry about overclocking it but thats just me, mine is back to standard because I just didn't see any difference (and due to temps).
