CPU/Ram: Athlon XP 1800+ / 256MB S

how would you know if the processor is busted? if it is still being recognized by the motherboard and if it still runs, does that indicate that it's still ok?

if everything works, the processor is ok. what makes you think that it is "busted"?

Processors usually either work or don't work. Not work sometimes. The problem is likely to be caused by something else like the memory.
