|Use household rubbing alcohol on a paper towel. If it dissolves it, you just keep using a clean part of the paper towel and repeat. If it softens it and gets gooey, use a piece of plastic like an old credit card (not metal) and push off the thickest part and then use the alcohol again. Be very careful with the other side of the CPU and keep everything away from the contact surfaces during this process. Then you can read you CPU model series, number, and other important information.|
