Check your MOBO for a BIOS reset jumper or remove your MOBO battery for a few minutes and then replace it. If this does not restore your BIOS to default, you have a major problem.

Using another computer of course, check the support webpage of your computers maker. They might have a BIOS update, which you can boot directly off a 3.5 disk. The new BIOS update will overwrite any changes the virus did, but wil keep your files COMPETELY intact

With most PCs, the BIOS is stored in a CMOS chip. If your BIOS is working, you can boot into DOS and use a flash utility to change the BIOS program stored on the chip. Sometimes, the flash program will allow you to save the current BIOS before it is flashed.

If the BIOS program stored on the CMOS chip is missing or corrupted, the computer will usually not POST or boot into DOS and the CMOS chip cannot be flashed. Now the CMOS chip needs to be programmed with an EPPROM programmer. This is a special device and not usually found at most computer shops. In this situation, one can try to find someone with such a device (unlikely), purchase a new CMOS chip with a viable BIOS installed, or buy a new MOBO.

#1 Get rid of the virus. Take your hard drives to another computer with a virus program and clean them.

#2 Make damn sure that your hard drives are clean.

#3 Go to www.badflash.com and find out how to get your chip re-flashed with the BIOS or how to get a new Chip. It is not expensive.

#4 If there is any doubt about your hard drives being virus free, have them checked again.
