how to break L6, L3 and L4 bridges?

Can anyone tell me how they successfully broke the L6, L3, L4 bridges? I spend quite some time etching the bridges with a sharp screw with no luck. I cannot adjust the multipliers on my bios. Is there another solution? to access my multipliers?
