this would mean yours would have the same fsb as the 3200+ 200x2=(400)

if i overclocked it too high it wont burn the cpu will it? will it run choppy if i overclock it that high? are they normally stable if you overclock it that far? and finally will having pc2100 hurt the process, thanks...

ps i only have to increase the fsb in the bois and dont have to change any other settings?

Shawn,

Judging by your recent posts, you're new to overclocking...maybe even new to building a rig. You should get it up & running at it's stock settings for a while, work the kinks out before even thinking about overclocking...you might wanna do a little research on how it's done, & the risks involved too.

You never posted back about your shutdown issue...I assume you got it fixed? What was causing the problem? What temp readings are you getting?

I'm not clear on what 2600+ CPU you have...there are 3 different versions...two T-breds & one Barton. They all run at different clock settings & will overclock differently.

2600+ Barton - 11.5 x 166mhz FSB = 1917mhz
2600+ T-bred - 12.5 x 166mhz FSB = 2083mhz
2600+ T-bred - 16.0 x 133mhz FSB = 2133mhz

If you have a new Barton, chances are the multiplier is locked...so far, no one has been able to come up with an unlocking method, so if you have one of these, you're stuck with the FSB only. Your PC2100 RAM (aka DDR266) is probably gonna hold you back, & unless you can lock the PCI/AGP at their default speeds (33/66mhz), that may hold you back as well. As you raise the FSB, you raise the PCI/AGP speeds. If you have your FSB at 163mhz now, you may not even be overclocked yet...if you have one of the 166mhz FSB CPUs that I listed above, you're not even up to speed yet.
