You can go a heck of a lot higher than 3.0GHz. But we need to know the exact make/model of your motherboard & which RAM you have. Video card make/model doesn't matter but the power supply specs would be useful. I can give you a few general hints though.

- increase the CPU freq from 200MHz (800MHz FSB) to 266MHz (1066MHz FSB)
- set the RAM to run as DDR2-533, regardless of whether you have DDR2-667, DDR2-800, etc
- lock the PCIe at 100MHz
- disable SpeedStep (aka EIST)
- disable all Spread Spectrum settings (if there are any)

This will run the CPU at 3.2GHz @ 1066MHz FSB with a FSB:DRAM ratio of 1:1.

Here's another possibilty:

- lower the CPU multiplier from 12x to 10x
- increase the CPU freq from 200MHz (800MHz FSB) to 333MHz (1333MHz FSB)
- set the RAM to run as DDR2-667, regardless of whether you have DDR2-800, DDR2-1066, etc
- lock the PCIe at 100MHz
- disable SpeedStep (aka EIST)
- disable all Spread Spectrum settings (if there are any)

This will run the CPU at 3.33GHz @ 1333MHz FSB with a FSB:DRAM ratio of 1:1. You *may* have to increase the CPU voltage to stabilize the overclock.
