I have messed up my bios and my CPU has now gone from being a 2200+ @ 1.79 to 1500+ @ 1.34.
The only CPU option I can find is CPU PnP setup page. In my mobo manual it shows an example where the CPU Speed = 700 MHz. But in my BIOS in this place it says CPU Speed = 100MHz/100MHz and I can change these settings to 133/133. This alters the CPU Frequency/DRAM Frequency.
Basically I need to know how I can get my BIOS to recognise the proper CPU Speed.
Program: Unicore BIOS Agent Version 2.0

BIOS Type: American Megatrends
BIOS ID: 62-0809-001131-00101111-040201-SiS735-K7S5A
BIOS Eval: K7S5A Release 08/09/2002 S
Chipset: SiS 735 rev 1
Superio: ITE 8705/SiS 950 rev 2 found at port 2EhElite K7S5A mobo

Athlon 2200+
GF4 Ti 4200 GFX.
Audigy 2 Sound.

you need to flash your bios back to the version that worked. go to elite's website and download the bios you need and reflash. i had to do this and it worked for me.good luck

I have the same mb and you have to change this "But in my BIOS in this place it says CPU Speed = 100MHz/100MHz and I can change these settings to 133/133. This alters the CPU Frequency/DRAM Frequency." to 133/133 to make it see the corect speed.. but I believe you have to have DDR ram to do so...

It should run at the proper speed whether you have SD RAM or DDR SD RAM. Just change the CPU freq. and DRAM to 133 MHz and this should change the CPU's external clock freq.
