How can I overclock my Compaq Persario 5190? I call Compaq, they said, "We have a feature that disables people from overclocking their processors to prevent damage." Is there any way or any program to get around this so I can overclock my AMDK-6 400mghz to atleast 450 or even 500. I am going to buy cool, and thermal cream so my processor is comfortable. If anybody can tell me how to it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

lol why would you want to overclock compaqs??? its impossible. what you could do to make your computer faster is get a new case and trasnfer all the parts into the new case and get a better power supply. the power supply that came with the compaq sucks....and your processor will end up not having the full processing power. also get a ultra ata 133 raid card and plug everything into the raid and your system will be faster.
