Hey guys, just wondering what you overclockers were able to get ur athlon xp 2400+ to reach. I got it to go a mere 2.125 mhz (FSB 170mhz). I'm talking about a straight BIOS overclock, no Vcore mods or anthing like that. Anyway just interested to see if I'm way below the norm, thx for ur input.

If your fsb was 170 with the default multiplier of 15 your cpu would be running at 2550Mhz which is VERY doubtful. I've seen 2400+'s running at around 2400Mhz with very very good air cooling, water cooling or compressor cooled. This was done not only by fsb oc'ing but multiplier oc'ing with the vcore raised for stability.
I have my 2400+ running at 2.1Ghz with a fsb 168 X mult 12.5. Very low temps too 34C idle 41C max load (48hrs 100% cpu use). I'll get it running faster sometime but right now I could care less. (Had mine up to 2200Mhz just with stupid settings 147X15 I much rather the higher memory bandwidth with the fsb at 168)
