im trying to push my memory so it hits 2000mhz but i can only overlock it to 1600mhz. the memory advertises as ddr3 2000mhz so i figure it should be able to hit those speeds with the right settings. also whats is the "best" overall overclocking settings for my pc? here are my specs. all my settings are back at default now.

Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

What speed does your RAM run at when the BIOS is set to defaults - 1333MHz or 1600MHz? Did you read the manual or Gigabyte website? Here's what it says:

To support a DDR3 1866 MHz (and above) memory, you must install an AMD AM3+ CPU first.

You have an AM3 CPU.
