K, so i have a amd athlon 64 x2 in my new laptop which means i have two athlons. right?
so what i want to know is what it is comparable with approximately like amd vs intel. is mine comparable to a single centrino. centrino 2? or im wondering that whenever i see system requirements for a game it says amd ****+ or better, is there a way to convert my processor to a desktop equivalent number? i have the ahlon 64 x2 model ql-60. id really appreciate some help on this thanks!

1st of all, you have a dual core CPU...it's not the same thing as having two CPUs. The system will use either one core or both depending on what you're doing. If you're not multitasking or running programs that take advantage of both cores, there's little performance difference over a similarly clocked single core CPU. Most CPUs go by model numbers these days, not clock speed, plus the technology between AMD & Intel is different, so it's tougher to make a comparison between the two. I wouldn't be too concerned about the CPU.

2nd, Centrino is not a CPU at all, it's the name of a hardware/technology platform. There are many different CPUs that can be used in a Centrino system.

3rd, since you seem to be asking about gaming, you have to consider the CPU, RAM & video card. The QL-60 runs at 1.9GHz & your motherboard is based on the AMD 780V chipset, meaning that the integrated graphics are the ATI Radeon 3100, which is a lower clocked version of the Radeon 3200. The integrated graphics has no memory of it's own - it has to "steal" it from the system. Hopefully you have at least 2GB RAM? Here's what's said about the Radeon 3200...you can expect the 3100 performance to be lower:
