I am looking for a really quiet heatsink for my AMD 2800. I currently have a dynatron but it is very loud. Is the artic super silent pro any good? Any other heatsink that is quiter and better? I also wanted to know about silent case fans. I currently have 2 loud case fans, one outtake in the back and an intake on the door. Hopefully, I will be able to sleep with my computer on without feeling like I live next to an airport!

I don't know about heatsink but the noise from the case fans doesn't come from the fan, but comes from the air holes blocking airflow. Infact, there are very few chassis which have poles that do not obstruct air flow. Some people run with 3 case fans and none of them is working as the poles don't let the air go out (or in) and the air is reflected back, causing a loud noise, and the chassis is also not cooled.

It is not caused be the air being blocked. I have other computers that have fans and are nearly silent. Anyone?
