You haven't updated the BIOS since 1998. What do you mean by a "hacked" BIOS & what do you think you're gonna accomplish?

Since you know the make/model, why didn't you just search for the BIOS on google yourself? Here's one from 2002. Use DRIVERS for the login ID, & ALL for the password:

When you say the BIOS is locked, do you mean it's password protected? If so, just pull the plug, then remove the CMOS battery for a minute...replace the battery, plug it in & fire it up...all the settings (including date & time) will have reverted to their defaults & the BIOS will now be accessable. But I don't think it'll help. There are software programs that will allow you to overclock though - you're not gonna accomplish it with the BIOS. Read this:

Wow That site is Awesome thank you very much!
It tells me to:

There are some people who say that you can defeat this lock by covering up one of the pins on the CPU with a piece of tape. However, all this has ever succeeded in in my experience is a CPU pin with tape residue on it.

But i never heard of a Cpu pin!
Can you show me a link? then i know what to tape.
So i can make changes finnaly in my Bios!

Thanks,

You're not gonna be able to unlock the multiplier, you can only overclock by raising the FSB. If your BIOS doesn't provide FSB adjustments, you'll have to use that software program.

Your current setting is 4 x 66mhz FSB. The PCI speed for your particular setup is 1/2 the FSB, or 33mhz. You do NOT want the PCI speed to exceed 37.5mhz or you'll run into all sorts of problems, so you'll have to limit your FSB to 75mhz. That'll put your CPU speed at 300mhz (4 x 75). That's not a significant speed increase, but at least it's something.

Freestyler you need to slow down buddy. You are not going to get much more performance out of a 266 MHz chip by overclocking it at least not enough to make a difference with today's programs. And if you rush into this you will most likely just fry the CPU.

That being said...

A "pin" is one of the connectors on the CPU that connects to the motherboard. You would have to remove the processor from the motherboard and locate the correct pin in question. Plus, the article above did not mention which pin needed to be covered.

Hmm yeah im not that stupid i know i can overclock my cpu to 350 max i think,
Now i downloaded that SOFTFSB program to overclock my cpu, its not overclocked for real, cause when i start my comp it still says 266Mhz in the bios but the cpu speed will change automatically when windows i started to 320Mhz its because i enabled the FSB to start when windows start and the FSB was set from 66Mhz to 80 Mhz.
I feel much better now lol.
but it would be much cooler when i can over clock it in the bios :( i readed some forums about overclocking and unlocked their bios about the Motherboard model AL440LX So it is after all posible... so i registerd in that forum and tried to send him a mail but his mail is not showed/protected so this is so not cool.
I must know how to unlock And yeah Wich CPU pin shall i tape? hmmm

Thanks,

Btw I downloaded an update for my bios called:

BIOS 4A4LL0x0.86A.0031.P14 [ALBIOS14.EXE] (520KB)

Is it possible that when i install that bios i do can change my Clock/FSB speed?

THanks
