Subject: Good Computer! Bad FPS?
OS: Vista
CPU/Ram: D 2.8GHz/1GB
Model/Manufacturer: Powerspec
Comment:
I am running Vista with...

Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.8GHz
1 GB of RAM
Radeon x850 Pro

and my fps in CSS goes from 50 fps to like 10, all my drivers for my video card are updated.
The game runs like crap and my ping is usually 30-60 in most servers so I know its a problem with my computer not my internet connection. Help me?

I doubt that Vista is causing a performance loss that big. I have Vista and the difference in performance is there but not very large.

I would check that your ram is good with memtest and check that the vid card isn't overheating. Its also possible that your PSU is too weak but I don't think this is your prob.
