Well... I just got a gateway computer(I know some people hate gqatway), and I am interested in overclocking it... but I am pretty sure that I can not b/c I cant through the BIOS and the Mobo only has a BIOS jumper on it. If any one has any information on this I'd love to hear it. Are there any programs that will alow me to do this?(minus changing the voltage)? I heard there was one, but when I downloaded it, it was a currupted file. I'm aslo considering voiding my warranty and putting in a new Mobo so I can overclock. Does any one know if all ATX P4 Mobos are the same size, or how do I find one that will fit inside the gateway full tower? also will my current prossesing chip fit into the new board and run ok? what about the BIOS? will it automatically change if I put in a new Mobo? will the other components be compatible with the new Mobo? Just trying to get all the info I can before voiding my warrenty. My specs are: gateway 700s, ATX Tower intel P4 2.4GHz, 533 FSB, 133 system bus, Lexington 2 Mobo, 256 RDram PC800, GeForce MX 440(overclocked)128ram, windows XP home(w/2.0 supplement Patchs) If anyone needs more info please let me know. I tried to get info out of gateway, but most people know that was worthless. I just want to get the most out of my system. Thanks in advance, Mag.
