Comment:
ok i have a athlon 2200+ running @ 266Mhz FSb and i have 768 Mb of DDr PC2700 which shud run 2 333mhz but is running @ 266 bcos my CPU is, so is it possible i can run my ram @ 333mhz?

of course you can, first set cpu fsb to 133mhz, then set "CPU fsb/DRAM clock" to "4/5" so DRAM clock = 5 * (133/4) = 166 * 2 ------> (ps) = 333
ps : Athlon CPUs have 2x fsb speed (pentium 4x)

For optimal performance, an Athlon system should run the CPU bus & RAM bus at the same speed - so if you have your CPU set at 133mhz (266FSB), you should be running your RAM the same. There's no advantage to running the RAM at 333 & CPU at 266.
If you can adjust the multiplier, set your CPU to run at 11 x 166mhz (333FSB), then you can run your RAM at 333

But be carefull because what Jam suggests is overclocking. If possible do the overclocking in smaller steps and check for stability by runnung benchmarks after every step,

Summary: Is there a setting in the BIOS for memory speed? It would be something like Host Clock +/- 33 or Host Clock +/- PCI Clock? Host Clock = FSB, so if your FSB is 133, you should set your memory speed to ...
