i hv done that 2 my vidcard last year with a stock hs/fan
now install a zm80dHP+op1 work wtih it,and oc @436/387,thanx 2 the arctic silver Ceramique,the temp is just 49/31 after boot,around 65/41 after
full-load like farcry,wow,hl2.but the op1 is full 2800rpm run,and install a Delta 9cm 3600rpm case fan to blow thet hot flow out of my case.

I've done it and i know from experience... It get's really hot ! So cooling is not an option ! I will contradict the ones that said iti will work just fine with stock cooling...NO IT WON'T ! mine had artefacts at the smallest overclocking...and besides..u know that 9800pro core is 380mhz and XT is 412mhz...pro is hot allready... there is no need for other explanation...JUST GET A GOOD COOLER ! i sugest if you go with air cooling the Zalman zm80c + op1 [or a better fan if you consider overclocking -op1 is made for extra silence] or an Artic Cooler [example ver 3]...select the one u like better...but DO IT ! ;)
