Goin to the store today to buy somethin to get better cooling for my cpu. I'm on a limited budget though and was wondering if you think I should get a couple new fans(cpu & case), or a new heatsink/fan? i have a rear case fan that runs at about 800rpms and the cpu fan runs at about 1200 rpms, no speed control. If the heatsink is the problem will a better fan help?

You don't need a new fan or heatsink...your temps aren't that bad. If anything, remove the HSF, clean it, then reinstall it with a fresh dab of thermal paste. All you need is a small amount of paste about the size of a BB...more is NOT better. And when you lock down the heatsink, don't let it "slide around a bit" like you mentioned in the other thread. Here's the proper way to apply paste:
Summary: ok im doing somekind of overclocking on my graphics card but my graphics card didnt have a fan only a heatsink until now, i superglued a pentium I fan on it is that a horrible thing 2 do? is the super...
Summary: Athlons were never socket 7. I think you're really refering to an AMD k6-2. get a heatsink/fan made for a small duron or something like that. it will be able to keep any socket 7 cpu cool ...
