CPU/Ram: p-3,slot type

I have a Dell system.my cpu fan is failure.Iput a new fan.it is working.but the system shows the following message.

FAN FAILURE.YOUR SYSTEM WILL GOING TO OFF.

After 10 seconds systemcome to power off condition.
please give me the specification of the fan.
(Dell slot1 p-3 processor)

Try resetting the BIOS. Dell's have finicky BIOS's.
