OS: win xp prof
CPU/Ram: 512k/2200 AMD
Comment:

I recently built an AMD computer with some old stuff laying around and some new stuff. Once I installed XP it booted up and worked good. The motherboard is an ASUS a7n8X board. The proc was an AMD 2200 I overclocked to a 2400(like I had in my old system). I used new RAM(generic) and an older 30 gig harddrive(again from my old system) also my old Ti4200 vid card.
Anyway, I gave the system to my dad who took it to a friends house for his kid and it booted up about reseting the CPU speed(it was showing 13.5x166. I had him change it to 11x166 and it started WIN XP then almost immediatly went to a blue screen saying a bunch of stuff that I will try and highlight.

A problem has been detected and windows has been shutdown to prevent damage to your computer. Unmountable_boot_volumn check to make sure any blah....
Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing blah....
I tried looking for memory options and I think I did what it called for but didn't help... I removed the motherboard battery and reset it but again no help...
any suggestions would be great... I'm not sure if this is a overclocking problem or not but I thought being that was the initial error it possibly could be.
Thanks!

If you changed the motherboard, that's the cause. You're required to reformat the HDD then reinstall Windows when changing the motherboard!!!

Yes the ram is 2700 and I put a fresh windows install once it was all put together. After being transported to it's final destination it quit working.... Again, it did work fine before it left my house...
It will not run on any settings anymore and the vcore gives three options and it is set at it's lowest.

"After being transported to it's final destination it quit working"

That could be a clue...did you open the case to make sure the RAM & all cards are firmly seated? Did you check that the HSF wasn't disturbed?

"the vcore gives three options and it is set at it's lowest."

What would that be? The 2200+ should run at 1800mhz (13.5 x 133mhz) @ either 1.60v or 1.65v...it depends on the model. 11 x 166mhz should be fine & a vcore increase really shouldn't be necessary. 2250mhz (13.5 x 166mhz) is quite a big leap & it probably would run at that speed.

Check for any loose components, then try clocking it at the default speed (13.5 x 133mhz) & see if it's stable.

Asus A7N8X-X
1800+ @8x210mhz
512mb PC3200
Ti4200/8X 128mb
WDC 60GB
