Anyone ever seen this error messege b4?

0232:Extended Ram failed at offset:B1

If so...can you tell me what it means and how to correct it. I'm installing a new hard drive for a friend, then XP Pro...but it wont let me. I keep getting a blue screen about two minutes into the installation of XP. Yes, I have formatted the hdd, all that is done and everything checks out ok.

Kevin,
Try installing 98 first, then do the upgrade of xp pro. It will go a lot smoother.

Well, I'd start off with using a better-suited operating system for that configuration. If you run Win XP on a 300 mhz celeron, you're gonna be crying because of the lack of performance. I would reccomend Win 2K. However, if you feel it neccessary to run XP, I'd disable the Luna theme for performance.

Try only installing XP with one module of RAM.
