Hi,
Does someone know what is: Intel Performance Acceleration Technology (PAT)?
Should I enable it from the motherboard or not?
(it says that "can cause your system to become unstable"), however this PAT seems something good, so I'm a little confused.
Thank you
Avi

If you have the right memory for the board setting PAT would gain 20-30% more bandwidth performance. If you already have overclocked and running 1:1 memory ratio, say well above 1000 mhz FSB, I would leave PAT at AUTO setting.

You only gain 3-5% performance increase when PAT is enabled. 20-30% sounds a little too much.

Thanks. How can I know if I have the "right memory" for enabling PAT ? (I've left the default BIOS settings (only "enabled 32 bit data transfer" for a SATA disk)).

I got 8% increase by just setting to PAT to normal, I could not get to Street Racer. I am sure better ram would yield another 10-15% easy. From auto setting (which is like turning the sucker off. The setting to normal, it increases from 5700 mb/s to 6200+ mb/s. Both IC7 & IS7 got the same increase using the cheapo Apacer PC3200 (Infineon).
