This is the mobo in the 2nd pc I built recently. It's baffling that it has no power LED header! Is this normal?

Should be pins 2,4 on the FPI Connector. Should be stated in the manual.

Thx, but I'm looking for a 3-pin connector (header?). The power LED plug from the case has 3 pins. My (other) Gigabyte mobo has a 3-pin header but not the ECS's. I'm still scratching my head. BTW, I plugged the 3-pin plug into pin 2,4 but the power LED didn't come on.

you can get around this by pulling one of the pins out of the hole and putting it through the middle hole, then cut the end of the plastic off using a knife or scissors.

Thanks that is a great tip and it works! We are having another problem with headers and the K7S5A PRO. Our case has two USB ports on the front of it. There are connector cables on the case for these USB ports that bear labels very different from the labels on the USB Header Pin out. If someone has figured this out, please pass along the secret. Our case has leads labeled for USB 1 and USB 2 as follows:
-D
+5v
+D
Ground

The 'Signal name' in the K7SA5 page on the ECS website shows these pin assignments for each USB header:

Pin 1 VREG_FP_USBPWRO Pin 2 VREG_FP_USBPWRO
Pin 3 USB_FP_PO- Pin 4 USB_FP_P1-
Pin 5 USB_FP_PO+ Pin 6 USB_FP_P1+
Pin 7 Ground Pin 8 Ground
Pin 9 Key Pin 10 USB_FP_OC0
Note there are two Ground pins in the header for each port, but only one ground cable for each???
Any help will be much appreciated. Problems like these make me want to move to Taiwan and hire out as a tech writer or to test instructions.
