Dynamic CPU cooling?

My CPU's temperature shoots to 60-65C when playing games. I noticed this after I set BIOS to warn me if temperature is above 60C.
Normaly CPU temp. is arround 42C when not playing games. CPU fan is arround 2500RMP.
Is there a way to cool the CPU more? I.e. can fan speed be changed programatically?

Need a nice cool ambient temp in your case, I got a case with a 120mm fan front and back which helped cool my prescott down a lot. Mine sticks around the 45-50 C mark when gaming now. And 2500rpm is getting on for full speed with the default intel heatsink on there btw, cant push it up much from there.
