I just bought two motherboards with Intel 865PE chipset, and both of them say "Dual DDR" which as far as I know means they support dual channeling on recent ram. I only have one stick of RAM though. 1gb, 3200. Brand new, Kingston with the heat-spreading-thing and all, but it doesn't work. I contacted the dudes where I bought the motherboards from, they said it should work. I went to Best Buy and bought 512 Dual DDR(two sticks), and of course paid more than I paid for the 1gb(..lol..). The point is, motherboards run with the sticks I bought at Best Buy. I checked the 1gb stick, it works fine.
So my question is, if I buy another 1gb stick, will the two of them work?
Power is good, but it gets naughty too often, that's why it's grounded.

it will work if your ram is compatible with your motherboard and the motherboard feature can support 2gb ram. what you mean is you will use 2 1gb ram in your motherboard right?

What does the motherboard manual say?
Also visit www.crucial.com and check what they say about compatible ram for your boards.Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day.
