Howdy,
I've got a Dell server with a single Slot 1 P733 on board and need more speed. Obviously it would be easiest to throw another 733 into the second cpu slot but it's a bit hard to find another 733 considering they are now a couple of years old.
I have a Socket 370 733 CPU, can you pair up a Slot 1 and Sock 370 CPU with a slotket OK??
The wolves at Dell want $A515 per CPU for a couple of 1 gig slot 1's, plus a 15 day delivery time. I need it working by Friday.
Anyone have any results from doing this?

I believe Tigerdirect.com sells Socket 370 to Slot 1 Adapters for $8.99
Or you can check your local PC stores.

Go to www.starsurplus.com .They have both new and "good" used cpu's.
I strongly reccommend that both CPU's be identical. A slot 1 and a socket 370 in a slotkit may work but then again the timings may be different. (Because of the slotkit???)
