I just recently installed creative's new audigy drivers(AUDDRVPACK.exe) and it really messed stuff up. Seemed to uninstall my video drivers, but just reinstalled those and they work correctly again. The sound driver seems to be working fine, but my big problem is that it somehow changed my system config

My computer thinks it is a AMD Athlon 1500+ now, not a 2200+ like it is, and was running at for since i've got it (5 months).

When i go into bios the voltage and fsb settings are: +-25%
100mhz
the rest are at auto.

those are the default settings, and it boots up through some fast track thing where it scans drives, and can't find an array (I choose to just continue booting, and it seems to work fine). If I choose to load the advanced performance settings, it disables the first setting, and changes the second to 133mhz, but after xp loads up it immediantly restarts itself.

My motherboard is MSI MS-6380E 1.0

i don't think these matter since they've always worked, but here they are.
ram is pc2100 or pc2700 whatever the type is that the board needs to run (sorry new to this) didn't get it through dell or any brand. ibuypower.com instead, had had no problems till i installed these drivers.

geforce4ti 4600
1024 mb ddr ram etc..

wondering if i can get back to 2200+ speeds or if i'm stuck with an overpriced 1500+ from now on...

scan your system for virus.

go into bios and see if you can adjust the speed back to normal.

try remove the sound card driver and see if it recongnize your correct cpu speed, if it did, then i guess the driver might be incompatible with ur operating system.
go check creative web site for any driver updates..good luck
and by the way, i want to know how many watt is your power supply, becasue the power supply might be overloading.

The fsb should be 133.
