Comment:

I bought a new pc, it's a PC Chips 841LMR, when I installed XP, my pc showed it as a 1200 not 1900 as it should be.
I updated the bios as someone suggested, but still on entry to windows it blue screened and froze when bios is set to 133/133. I've switched the slot which the DDR is in and still the same. I changed my DRam Timing Configuration in Bios from Normal to Safe and SDR/DDR CAS Latency from 2.5T to 2.0T and everything worked ok with 133/133 !
Is that normal?
Thx

lol. YES.

latency can be 2.0 or 2.5 depending on the ram you buy.

It is the TIMING of the memory, (and it is critical).

So you switching to the 2.0 fixed everything. Which means it is correct now.

If only I'd realised! I installed XP 3 times thinking it was the problem!
All's well now, will be back with my next problem soon, LOL.
Thx
