I always see all the number of chips on a stick of RAM, does it really matter? I see 32X72, 32X10, etc. Does it really matter? I ask because I seen a 256 stick of SDRAM for my PC for $56 dollars, and another one with a different amount of chips for only $30. Does it matter? Thanks

Yes it does matter, the less chips on the RAM module the higher the desity each chip has.

Not all memory controllers on motherboards recognize and properly address the higher denisty RAM modules.
